Dan Sita

1975 – Master Dan Sita training with his student Roberto Cavaliere
His martial activity began at an early age. His first master was the great Sun Yu Yang, born in Shenyang (Liaoning Province – China), who taught him he learnt Lรณng Huร Chรฌn Nฤ, i.e. the Shuรฌ, Huรฒ and Kฤishuรฌ methods.
This style is also known as Chรฌn Nฤ Sฤn or Wudร ng Chรฌn Nฤ. Again under the guidance of Grandmaster Sun Yu Yang, Dan Sita studied Xing Yi, Ba Gua, Qi Gong and Tai Ji Quan. From Master Sun Yu Yang he received the name โDรฉng Dรก Xรญโ, which is the name he is known by in China.
Master Dan Sita became a close friend of Master Li Fan Ho, who came from the Chinese city Nanning. (Guangxi, Chinese autonomous region). They met in France during Dan Sitaโs stay in Paris, which lasted over five years. He was there on business on the account of the 3rd district of the French capitalโs prefecture.
Master Li Fan Ho was the Chief of the National Technical Commission of the F.F.d.K. & A.M.A. (Fรฉdรฉration Franรงese de Karatรจ et Arts Martiaux Affinitaires), Kung Fu sector, for several years under the far-seeing presidency of lawyer J. Delcourt.
Masters Li Fan Ho and Dan Sita were linked not only by great friendship but also by a deep sense of cooperation. a
The former taught Master Sita a little bit of Long Xing Quan, a Chinese Southern style Li Fan Ho had learnt from his father, while the latter taught his friend Li Fan Ho a little bit of Chin Na. However, Master Sita was not really satisfied with Long Xing Quan because it seemed to him to be an incomplete discipline so, acting on the advice of his fraternal friend Li, he left for China and went to Grandmaster Lam Wun Kwong, a distinguished Nan Shi Long Xing Quan expert and head of that style. After coming to know the reasons for his visit, Master Lam ended up accepting Dan Sita as a student of his. Nan Shi Long Xing Quan is known in the West as the style of the โdragonโs transformationโ, a school typical of Southern China.
Dan Sita also trained directly with Grandmaster Shao Han Sheng, who was born in Jinan (Shandong province – China), although he actually spent most of his life between Canton and Hong Kong. He studied with him a Northern style called โeight Wang Lian schoolโ (Chinese: โBa Wang Lian Xuรฉxiaoโ = The Eight Imperial Exercises).
Master Dan Sita studied โ in China as well โ Chang Quan, Nan Quan and Shiba Chuantong Qixie under the protection of and in cooperation with the Chinese Wushu Association. So, he learnt how to use the 18 traditional Chinese weapons.
On this occasion the author would like to mention and thank in particular his friends Xu Cai (ex-President of the International Wushu Federation), Zhao Shuangjin (ex-Secretary General of the Chinese Wushu Association) and Huan Hongxian (ex-Secretary General of the Asian Wushu Federation).
He would also like to thank Masters Yu Li Guang, Su Zifang, Guo Pei, Cai Longyun, Huang Jizhen and Hu Bin, who became friends with him, too. Hu Bin was Li Lianjieโs (Jet Leeโs) master.
During his long-lasting career in the field of East Asian martial arts, in particular of the Chinese ones, Master Dan Sita taught in special military corps both in Italy and abroad for several years.

FURTHER STUDIES AND EXPERIENCES
Under the lead of Korean Master Park Sun Jae, Dan Sita studied Tae Kwon Do (1970-1974) and was awarded the 1st Dan black belt in a very short time. Again under Master Park Sun Jae guidance, he technically improved more and more in this discipline until, after only a four-year practise, he suddenly decided to abandon this Korean martial art in order to totally and exclusively commit himself to Wushu. This happened at the insistence of the French ex-Federation of Kung Fu in Paris.
